David Preston

Musings of an old bloke.

About Me

My name is David Preston and I was born in the late 1950s.

My first computer was an Atari 800XL and I've had a few others since. I work on a range of web and tech-related subjects for a living, spending (currently) more time on a Mac than a PC.

Interests include -

  • Technology of all kinds.
  • Angling, although I haven't been fishing for ages, having been slightly 'cured' by working in one of the UK's biggest tackle shops for 10 years as a previous job.
  • Photography, although I'm very much a dabbler and no expert at all.
  • Liverpool Football Club, for pretty much as long as I can remember.
  • Trivia and quizzes (I appeared on 'Fifteen to One' twice towards the end of last century).
  • Good causes I like to support when possible relate to learning disability, cancer (especially ovarian cancer which took my partner Kathleen in 2003) and the RNLI.
